Quick Tip

When you buy fresh berries, grapes, peaches, nectarines, etc put them into a bowl of water with a splash of white vinegar. Rinse them with water and pur the fruit in the fridge! That way any spores of mildew will be removed and your fruit lasts longer! I tried it myself and it really works, even my husband noticed it:)
You won't taste the vinegar!

DIY Wrapping PaPeR

Daddy's Birthday came up and I had my little guy Zachary help planning a nice surprise! I baked the cake and he decorated it with chocolate Morsels, well half of them disappeared:)

We had a gift and wanted to wrap it. Here is what we used! Since we wrapped on June 14th, which is flag day, we used patriotic colors: red, white and blue!
- package wrapping paper ( the brown kind)
- crayons ( more vintage looking)
- packaging yarn
- American flag

Zach had so much fun, during coloring I talked to him about the American Flag and it's meaning. We sang "God bless America"

So much fun!

First outing almost by myself!

We went to the zoo today and I got a taste of what it means to get out of the house! First packing all the stuff for the babes! Snacks, blankets, water etc...! Now pack that heavy darn stroller, little guy is crying because a gas bubble is making him feel miserable, so pick up baby get gas out.... Begging big guy not to play in the water outside while he is getting impatient! Yes little guy asleep in car seat ready to go! Now chasing the big guy who is running down a list of essential needs for the drive ( scooby snacks, scooby doo and juice) . Putting him in his car seat... Oh hold on poopy diaper... So back in the house changing him, back in the car seat!! Hold on where are my car keys??? I just had them I know I did, looking for them at random places like the laundry room and give up, spare keys it is!
I grab a protein bar and a water, off we go! Whew! But
It was so worth it , seeing Zach having a great time and loving the aquarium! He is such a great kid and AJ slept through all of it!
Passion all the way:)

Oh and look who found my car keys:)

Blogger Alert:)

The next few weeks I will be mainly blogging about my new life being a wife and a Mom of two little boys! It will help me to cope with my new role and I hope others in the same situation might feel " hey I am not alone"
I know there are gazillion blogs about Motherhood! But reading these blogs I feel they are so black and white, there is no grey zone! Most blogs make me feel like a failure, are you all super Moms out there? Quiet frankly I am not a super Mom! I am a passionate Mom who lives her emotions deeply and is very content with the little things in life!
So if you enjoy reading about my everyday life tune in if not be patient with me, I will post about other "stuff" as well:)

Coming Home

After a really great delivery it was time to go home on day two. A.J. Did great. I felt my room was like my little safe cocoon! meals were brought to me and water kept coming. The nurses were very caring and all I worried about was to get to know my new baby, who I am insanely in love with! So when discharge day came I was very excited but sitting in the car and driving away from the hospital brought tears to my eyes, it's like this huge intimidating world out there. This is what went through my head: how am I going to take care of two little ones, what's for dinner, laundry must be piling up, I hope I can get a shower in, is my husband ok? And on and on! I felt so overwhelmed and so thankful at the same time! The way Zachy cares for AJ already is so sweet! The first night at home I did what I am used to! Cooked dinner, played with Zach... And oh yeah there is a new baby in the house, so I cared for him as well!
When you are so used to your every day routine it is very hard to flip the switch in your brain and make adjustments! On top of lack of sleep and a bucket full of postpartum hormones you just feel overwhelmed, for me it is important to remind myself that this too shall pass.
In the meantime I remind myself how blessed I am with a wonderful family! I enjoy holding and feeding my new baby A.J., looking at him melts my heart! Zach is wonderful and playing with him or reading a book just got so much more meaning.
I will keep the German crazy lady in the closet and let the worries be locked up! While feeding the baby I watch my shows or read an iBook to shut my mind off for a while.

Still living with passion:)

Turn your bathroom into a spa

We all need those days where our bodies experience true relaxation and we pamper our selfs. But going to a spa is costly and time consuming! By the time you finally get out of the door, you already watching the clock because someone is probably watching your little one or you have an appointment.

Here is what I love to do!
I turn my bathroom into a spa, sometimes as soon as I put my little guy down for a nap ( chores have to wait!)
- I will get my big glass of ice water with mint
- have my favorite pampering products out, like eucalyptus bath salt, deep conditioner( with a towel next to it to soak the conditioner for 20 minutes), face mask and cucumber slices for eyes!
- relaxing music, I prefer to catch up on a show on my iPad!
- candles, depends on daytime
- towels are ready and my favorite body lotion plus all the other stuff you use is ready to go!

It is amazing how much it relaxes me and I can do it whenever I feel tense or stressed. I actually look forward to it!
About those chores: first I thought I can't relax with all the " to do's" but I a m a much happier wife and mommy after my time! And it takes about 30-40 minutes, still time to get your stuff done:)

Try it, you will feel so reenergized!
